- Gust Gunderson, 98, Bagley, died Friday, February 28 at Greensview Nursing Home.
Funeral services were held Monday at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Bagley, with the Rev. Bruce Bernt officiating. Burial will be at Bagley City Cemetery with Cease Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
He was born September 19, 1887 at Hurley, South Dakota, the son of Gunder and Ragnhilde Gunderson. He married Emma Monson on October 25, 1922, at Reliance, South Dakota. In 1933 he moved to Jenkins, Minnesota, and in 1934 to Pequot Lakes. In 1942 he moved to LaPrairie Township in Clearwater County, where he farmed. In 1958 he retired and moved to Bagley. For the last nine years he had resided at the nursing home. He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and a former member of the LaPrairie Town Board.
He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Doris (Mrs. Amos) Fultz of Bagley, Helen (Mrs. Arthur) Norley, Big Fork; three sons, Nels and Iver, both of Bagley, Rollo of Elbow Lake; 19 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, infant son, a sister and a brother.
