- Bio: The funeral for Vernon O. Groth, 61, Fargo, ND was held Wednesday, June 3,1992 in West Funeral Home Chapel in West Fargo with burial near Enderlin. He died Saturday, May 30 in his home.
Mr. Groth was born June 24, 1930 at Enderlin and grew up and attended school at Nome. He had his own painting and decorating business at Oriska, ND for a number of years. He married Joan Bumgartner October 10, 1953. She died in 1978 and he later married Marvill Beiningen Buchholz November 18, 1981 and they lived in Fargo where he was presently manager of Oakwood Apartments.
Mr. Groth is survived by his wife Marvill, three sons, Ronald, Gackle, ND, Danial, Valley City, ND and Richard, Fargo,ND; four daughters, Leanne (Mrs. Dennis) Stripmatter, Oriska, ND, Vicki (Mrs. David) Tammy (Mrs. John) Stindal, Miliani, HI, Barbara (Mrs. Alan) Breske, Rapid City, SD;
He was preceded in death in 1988 by a daughter, Jeannie (Mrs. Michael) Gehringer; two step-sons, Fred Buchholz, Ayr, ND and Paul Buchholz, Valley City, ND; five step-daughters, Lavonne (Mrs. Richard) Schroeder, Chaffee, ND, Gail (Mrs. Gerald) Wheeler, Ayr, ND, Jean (Mrs. Dennis) Unger, West Fargo, ND, Fay (Mrs. Justin) Kvanli Fargo, ND, and Shirley (Mrs. Mark) Stowman, Valley City, ND; two brothers, Garry Groth, West Fargo, ND and LeRoy Groth, St. Paul, MN, two sisters, LaVaun, (Mrs. Robert) Tvenstrup, Anchorage, AK and Eleanor (Mrs. Dwight) Schroeder, Fargo,ND; ten grandchildren, sixteen step-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild.
Rev. james Green officiated at the service. Music provided by soloist Darla Sanford, organist Eleanor Unger and Floutist Chrissie Schroeder.
Pallbearers were Fred Buchholz, Paul Buchholz, Mark Stowman, Jeff Delzer, Mike Sirek and Randy Schroeder.
