Ralph (Bowie) Gramer, 67, of Crookston died in a traffic accident near Felton, Minnesota Friday.
- He was born in Crookston April 10, 1916, the son of Peter and Mary Talifero Gramer. He attended the Cathedral School and the Northwest School of Agriculture in Crookston.
- He served with the U.S. Army from 1936 to 1938. Bowie owned and operated the Grain Belt distributorship in Crookston from 1955 until the early 1970's. On August 7, 1971 he was untied in marriage to Dorothy Swang of Granite Falls, Minnesota in Crookston.
- He was a member of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, the Crookston Eagles Aerie #873 and the American Legion Post in Crookston.
- Survivors include his wife; a son, John of St. Paul; two daughters, Judy of St. Paul and Jacque Rieken of Isanti, Minnesota; a stepson Mike Swang of Crookston; three step daughters, Cindy Jensen of Blaine, Minnesota, Janet Meier of Marschall, Minnesota, and Diane Ladner of Granite Falls, Minnesota; 10 grand children; six step grandchildren; two sisters, Isabel Poppenhagen of Larimore, North Dakota, and Madalyn Robarge of Thief River Falls; as well as several nieces and nephews.
