- Bio: Mrs. Eilertson dies after long illness
- Funeral services were held Monday at Deer Creek Valley Lutheran church for Mrs. Leslie (Irene) Eilertson, 68. The Rev. Theodore Anderson officiated and interment was in the London-Deer Creek Cemetery.
- Vocal duets were sung by Mrs. Frederick Davidson and Mrs. Marvid Davidson, and Mrs. Marvid Davidson was also the organist.
- Pall bearers were Frederick Davidson, Marvid Davidson, Omer Davidson, James Trainer, Allen Rohne and Mathias Rohne.
- Mrs. Eilertson died Thrusday, March 9, in a Mason City hospital. Although she had been disabled with a chronic illness for a number of years, her death came as the result of an unexpected heart attack.
- She was born in Ogden, Iowa, January 10, 1910, the daughter of J. William and Elva Godfrey. She moved with her family to Worth county when she was a small child and attended schools in the Northwood and Plymouth area.
- She married Leslie Eilertson December 12, 1937, in Mason City and they farmed in the Plymouth and Deer Creek areas. She was a member of the Deer Creek Valley Lutheran Church.
- Survivors include her husband; two sons, Doyle and David, both of Northwood; four daughters, Mrs. Roger (Ilene) Haycox, St. Peter, Minn., Mrs. Janet Bergo, Lake Mills, Mrs. Byron (Marlys) Wood, Clear Lake, and Mrs. James (Rita) Rosenberg, St. Ansgar; 14 grandchildren; two brothers, Orble Godfrey of Northwood and Carl Godfrey, Plymouth; three sisters, Mrs. Beva Pixley, Northwood, Mrs. Ruth Logemann, Manly, and Mrs. Harry (Ione) Godfrey, Boone.
