ELOISE C. JOHNSON
- Eloise C. Johnson died Sunday, June 5, 2011, in Broom field, Colo. She was 96.
- She was born Dec. 6, 1914, in Lyons, Neb., to Claude and Carolyn Ferrel. When she was 7 years old her parents moved from Nebraska to California in a Model "T" Ford, where her dad subsequently found work at NBC. Eloise graduated from Fremont High School in Los Angeles and attended Woodbury Secretarial College.
- She married her high school sweetheart in 1937 and he passed away when she was expecting their first child. Eloise remarried in 1942 and from this union twin daughters were born. She became a widow again in 1990.
- Eloise worked as a secretary at Abba-Zaba Candy Company in California and later as a medical secretary. She was a member of Calvary Episcopal Church in Yates Center and a 50-year member of the PEO sisterhood.
- She is survived by one son, Ronald Bansemer of San Francisco, Calif.; two daughters, Janice DesMarteau of Arvada, Colo., and Joyce Seveland-Wobig of Cody, Neb.; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
- Preceding her in death was her husband, Richard (Dick) Johnson.
- Funeral services for Eloise C. Johnson are being handled by All States Cremation. A family remembrance will be at the Stratford at Flatirons in Broomfield, Colo., and a memorial service will be held at a later date at the Calvary Episcopal Chuirch, Yates Center.

- A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 21 at Calvary Episcopal Church, Yates Center, KS. The Rev. Helen Hoch will officiate.
