A Mass of Christian Burial for Vernon C. Farland will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Vancouver, Wash.
Burial will be in the Garden of Grace, Evergreem Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Recitation of the rosary will be at 7 p.m. Monday in Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel.
Mr. Farland died of cancer Friday in his Vancouver home. He was 66.
He was born Jan. 23, 1928, in Minneapolis, Minn. He had lived in Vancouver since he was 10.
Mr. Miller worked as an engineer for the Vancouver Fire Department for 23 years before he retired in 1976.
He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Carole of Vancouver; sons, C. Craig Campbell of Port Orchard, Wash., John E. of Yakima, Wash., Joe B, Mike A. and Dan P., all of Vancouver; daughters, Susan K. and Amy, both of Vancouver; mother, Florence of Vancouver; brothers, Jim of Spanaway, Wash., Jake of Vancouver; and 12 grandchildren.
Interment will be the Garden of Grace in Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
The family suggests remembrances be contributions to Kaiser Permanente hospice program.
