- Agnes K. Brouwer was born in Aurora, S.D. on March 15, 1911 the oldest of 12 children. She grew up in Brookings County, S.D. then moved to the Pipestone and Woodstock area. Her mother died when she was 13, so she was forced to drop out of school to take over raising her siblings.
- She married Anno Brouwer on June 16, 1973. They lived in Edgerton and then moved to Pipestone. Both Anno and Agnes joined the Edgebrook Care Center family on May 9, 2000. They previously enjoyed traveling to Mesa, Ariz. in the winter months.
- She is survived by her husband, Anno; children, Ken (Melanie) LeBrun, Stony Brook, N.Y.; Caroline (Jerry) Bushman, Concord, Calif.; Bill (Dort) LeBrun, Chanhassen; Rick (Patrice) LeBrun, Springfield, Ore.; step-sons, Wayne Brouwer, Edgerton and Larry (Sandy) Brouwer, Sioux Center, Iowa; step-daughters, Darlene (John) Ruiter, Thelma (Stan) Scholten and Elaine (Stretch) Ulmer, all of Edgerton; 27 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; brothers, Harold (Elle Mae) Evans, Ward, S.D.; Vincent (Shirley) Evans, Pipestone; Clarence Evans, Austin; sister, Lois (Wayne) Medill, Hardwick; Anno's sisters, Martha Westenberg, Edgerton and Betty (John) Blackman, Hemet, Calif.
