- Bio: Holly Denise (Erickson) Snitker passed away peacefully at her home in Keizer on May 18, 2015, with her husband and children nearby.
- Holly was born September 23, 1961 in Inglewood, CA and spent the early years of her life growing up in Buena Park, CA. Holly was an accomplished musician, playing the flute and leading the Savanna High School ('79) marching band as drum major for three years. She attended Biola University before moving with her parents to Aumsville, OR in 1981. Before long, she met Craig Snitker, and the two were married in 1985. She found one of her greatest joys in their three children and selflessly devoted herself to her family.
- In her 16 years with the Salem-Keizer School District, Holly helped students in the Learning Resource Centers at McNary HS and then McKay HS to realize their potential and encouraged them to be successful in school and beyond. Holly's other passions included making her home beautiful with colorful flower beds, weekend camping trips, boating on the lake, chit-chatting over coffee, spending time with family, and hosting big summer barbecues. Most importantly, Holly's faith motivated her to be a nurturing wife, mother, sister, and friend. For her, life was simple: love God and demonstrate His love to others in any way she could.
- Holly leaves her husband of 29 years, Craig, and their children Aundrea & Hassan Shariff, Grant & Kerice Doten-Snitker, Adam & Emily Snitker. She is preceded in death by her father, Dennis Erickson, and leaves her mother, Sylvia Spruit-Erickson, and sisters Lori Frey and Debra Janke. A memorial service will be held Friday, May 22, 2015 at 1:30pm at Salem First Church of the Nazarene. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Keizer Young Life, PO Box 21345, Keizer, OR 97307. Arrangements made by Restlawn Funeral Home with private interment at St. Mary's Cemetery, Shaw, OR.
