- Susan Ann Evans was born June 7th, 1947 in Havre, Montana to Sigurd and Catherine (Billy) Dyrland. She was raised in Big Sandy, Montana and graduated from Big Sandy High School in 1965. She went on to college at the Columbus School of Nursing in Great Falls, Montana and graduated in 1968.
After graduating, Sue was able to travel through Europe for three months and moved to Denver, Colorado thereafter to work at a local hospital as an RN.
Upon her mother's death in Big Sandy, Sue moved to Spokane. She worked at Sacred Heart Hospital for a faithful 32 years. She loved caring for and helping people. While in Spokane she was married to John C. Evans of Spokane and had two children, Russell S. and Dianna C.
Retiring in 2009, Sue spent most of her time knitting and making crafts for others. She was known and loved for her witty sense of humor and admired for her strength. She was a selfless person who was a mother to many that were not born to her. She will be missed dearly.
Sue passed peacefully at her home in Spokane on September 25th, 2011. She is survived by her daughter Dianna of Spokane. A celebration of life will be held Friday, September 30th.
