- Bio: born February 19th 1927 at Johnston City, Illinois; after graduating from Shabbona High School he enlisted in the US military and served in Europe during World War II; he later attended Northern Illinois University, graduating with BS and MS degrees; employed by the Illinois Department of Public Health for 38 years, his career was dedicated to milk, food and environmental sciences (22 years), and laboratory science (16 years); he also taught in the College of Business at his alma mater; in 1986 he received the Department of Public Health's "Outstanding Leadership award" for his efforts during the largest salmonella outbreak in US history. . .He lived at 206 Boulder Hill Pass, Montgomery, Illinois . .
