    • Bio: David Irvin Byro, 64 of Madelia, MN, passed away on April 1, 2021, at his home in Linden Township, Brown County, Minnesota.
    • Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Sturm Funeral Home, Pilgrim Chapel and will continue on Thursday from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm at the Lake Hanska Lutheran Church.
    • Service will be held at the Lake Hanska Lutheran Church, on Thursday, April 8, 2021 at 1:00 pm. Masks and social distancing are required, per COVID-19 guidelines.
    • The clergy will be Rev. Andy Hermodson-Olsen. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery in Madelia.
    • Arrangements are with Sturm Funeral Home, Pilgrim Chapel in Madelia. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.sturmfh.com.
    • David was born on April 26, 1956, in New Ulm, MN, to Irvin "Lubin" John Byro and Bonita "Bonnie" (Trullinger) Byro. He graduated from Madelia High School in 1974, and went on to the University of Minnesota Technical College in Waseca, MN, where he earned his Associate's in Animal Industry Related Technology Diversified Agricultural Production and Applied Science in 1982. David loved dairy farming and enjoyed creating and balancing feed rations for other farmers. He even won several awards and was featured in a farming magazine! Always committed to doing work that helped others, he founded Dave's Provide a Ride, a transport service that helped individuals in need get to appointments, shopping or family functions. He was an avid motorcycle rider, taking yearly trips across the country with friends. David was one of those people who everyone knew, and a trip into town was always a way for him to catch up with old friends.
    • He is preceded in death by his parents, honorary parents Cliff and Dorothy Dorn.
