- Bio: Funeral service for Marjorie Bertha Twitero, 101, of Sisseton, SD will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at 10:30 AM at the First Lutheran Church, Claire City, SD with the Rev. Harold Watrous officiating. Organist will be Criss Kemnitz with a duet by Allen Schram and Bob Schultz. Pallbearers will be Jason Twitero, Vern Twitero, Trent Twitero, Bob Meland, Jim Balvin and Jeff Gregg. Honorary Pallbearers will be all of Marjorie’s Family and friends. Interment will be in the Sisseton Cemetery, Sisseton, SD. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 27, 2011 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM followed by an Eastern Star Service. There will also be visitation one hour prior to the funeral service at the church on Wednesday.
- Marjorie was born to George and Bertha (Tanguary) Bryson on May 18, 1910 in Tecumseh, Nebraska. At the age of 2 she moved with her family to Ballantine, Montana. She grew up with a twin Sister Margaret and older sister Esther. She married Thorne Twitero on June 28, 1935 in Huntly, Montana. They moved back to the family farm northwest of Sisseton. As a busy housewife she was involved with her county, the neighborhood and the church. Marjorie was a member of Saron Lutheran Church and then later the First Lutheran Church in Claire City, SD. She was a longtime member of the Bosko Extension Club. She enjoyed many educational meetings, social events, and cooking. She spent many years as a 4-H leader. She was a member of the Eastern Star. She passed away at the Tekakwitha Living Center, Sisseton, SD on December 20, 2011.
- Marjorie is survived by four sons, Edward Twitero, of Sisseton, SD, George and (Shari) Twitero, of Rapid City, SD, Harold and (Shari) Twitero, of Audubon, MN, Tom and (Marguerite) Twitero, of Sisseton, SD; Eight Grandchildren; Fifteen Great Grandchildren; and Four Great-Great Grandchildren.
- Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Thorne in 1974, one great grandson Jacob, one brother Robert, twin sister Margaret, and sister Esther.
