Deceased Name: Joy MacFadden
OCEAN SPRINGS --- Joy Breen MacFadden, 69, of Ocean Springs, died Wednesday, Oct. 27, 1999, in Biloxi.
Mrs. MacFadden was born in Scotland, S.D., and had been a resident of Ocean Springs since 1975. She was a graduate of South Dakota State University where she majored in music and attended Joliet Music Conservatory. She was a music composer and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Mrs. MacFadden formerly resided in San Diego, where she played the piano, sang and composed music on radio, television and stage events. She was well known throughout California for her musical talents and contributions. She also performed with the Ken Stanton Band for a long period of time. Mrs. MacFadden was also locally known for her talents: music, composing, singing and performing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Venie Breen; and two brothers, Vance Breen and Phillip Breen.
Survivors include her husband, Robin MacFadden Sr., of Ocean Springs; a daughter, April Emmerich MacFadden of Ocean Springs, a locally known metaphysician, radio and television personality; two sons, Luke MacFadden and Robin MacFadden Jr., both of Ocean Springs; two sisters, Joann Serr of Tampa, Fla., and Barbara Bot of Luverne, Minn.; a brother, David Breen of Benson, Minn.; six grandchildren, Richard William Emmerich, her first grandchild of undertow, and Andrea Melissa MacFadden, Molly Breen MacFadden, Mitchell MacFadden, Matthew MacFadden, and Emily Joymarie MacFadden; and two great-grandchildren, Bryanna Rose Emmerich and Michael Rowe Emmerich.
Private services will be held. Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes in Biloxi is in charge of arrangements.
