    • Paul Bosen, 92, of Henning, MN, died October 7, 2014 at Murphy House Clitherall, MN. Surrounded by his family, while under the care of Mary Murphy and Lakeland Hospice.
    • Paul Rueben Bosen was born June 14, 1922 in Battle Lake, MN to Peter and Amy (Erickson) Bosen. He was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran. He attended grades 1-12 in Battle Lake High School.
    • On October 25, 1943 he married Elsie Christenson to this union 2 children were born; Jerry and Bonnie Bosen. Paul was a devoted father and made it his life’s mission to raise his children. He was also known to have a car load of their many friends.
    • Paul went to serve his country in August 1942 to December 1945. He was a sergeant and was a Telegraphic Technician in Italy. After service he returned to farming near Vining, MN and worked for ACS Farm Program. He was on the School Board of District 133. He then quit farming and went to work at Mark Sand and Gravel and served on the Union Board and retired after 21 years.
    • Paul fell in love - and on December 17, 1976 - he married Lucy Knutson and gained 4 daughters; Diane, Debbie, Darlene & Dawn. Paul continued that same early devotion and passion to family and was a wonderful father to his six children.
    • In 1991 Paul and Lucy retired to “Girard Paradise,” where they resided until August 2013.
    • Paul was known for his wit, honesty, and the many “pocket angels” and “Red Hearts” he gave to family and friends. He was most happy playing tricks on his family, grandchildren and friends. He also loved ice fishing with his best friend, Cliff West and grandchildren. He especially loved & enjoyed going for coffee and supper with Lucy.
    • Paul is survived by his wife Lucy, his sister Polly Kubie, son Jerry (Claudette) Bosen, daughters Bonnie (Boyd) Olson, Diane (Don) Beastrom, Deborah (Bruce) Nelson, Darlene (Joe) Gladhill, Dawn (Dan) Erickson, his 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, a special niece Vicky who called him “dad,” and many other wonderful nieces and nephews.
    • He is preceded in death by his brothers; Harold, Lawrence, Ed, Bill and Fritz, his Sisters; Stella, Gladys and Mabel.
