- Bio: Jean Marie Bopp, 52, of Ansley, died Saturday, Jan. 7, 2012, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha after a courageous battle with lymphoma.
- Jean Marie was born Aug. 5, 1959, in Spalding to James and Jessie (Smith) Bopp.
- Survivors are: brothers, James "Rick" and Deb Bopp of Omaha and Tim and Yvonne Bopp of Westerville; nephews, Brian Bopp and daughter, Madysyn, of Valentine, Eric Bopp of Lincoln and Levi Bopp and special friend, Leishla, and son, Jacob, of Westerville; and niece, Jennifer Bopp, of Westerville.
- Jean Marie graduated from Spalding High School in 1977, attended college in Hastings and studied human services, and graduated from the University of Phoenix with a degree in marketing.
- Jean Marie enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
- Throughout her life, she did a variety of jobs including working as a nanny in New York and working with the mentally handicapped in Grand Island. She was most recently working at Cole Information Services of Omaha.
- Jean Marie lived in Lincoln, but due to her illness she moved to Ansley in mid-2011 to be close to family.
- Jean Marie was preceded in death by: parents and brother, Dan Bopp.
- Burial was in the Dublin Cemetery, Primrose, NE.
