    • Bio: From unknown newspaper August 1964Rites for Virgene Boe will be Wednesday as 3 p.m. from Immanuel Lutheran Church with the Rev. Harold T. Masted officiating and burial at Story City cemetery.Preceded in death by his father, Oreas, he is survived by his mother, Mrs. Martha Boe; a sister, Nadine, at home, and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Goodmanson, Story City.Mr. Boe was born May 10, 1944, in Story City.He was fatally injured in an automobile accident August 16.He was baptized int eh Lutheran faith by Rev. Odean Monson in the St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Stanhope, and was confirmed on his 15th birthday by Rev. Walter E. Carlson at St. Paul's.A 1962 graduate of the Story City Community School, he was a sophomore at Iowa State University and was employed by the Iowa State Highway Commission.He was preceded in death by his father in 1959.Survivors include his mother; a sister, Nadine; and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Goodmanson.Funeral services were Aug. 19, from Immanuel Lutheran Church, Story City, with the Rev. Harold Masted in charge.Pallbearers were Eddie Frette, Doug Shultz, Dave Disbrowe, Michael Phillips, Owen Sampson, Michael Jensen. Honorary Pallbearers were Bob Richter, Joe Bill Knous, Terry Ryan, Kenny Erickson, Tom Clark, and Bob Heise. Burial was in the Story City cemetery.
