  Bio: Edith Talia Boe of Hayfield, Dodge County, Minnesota, was the youngest of six children born to Norwegian immigrants, Peder Aslakson Boe and Clara (Johnson) Boe. She was had soft features and gentle brown eyes that she passed on to her son, Claude. She married Edwin Frederick Dahl, also a son of Norwegian immigrants, and had two children, Margaret and Claude. When her son was only 2 years old Edith suffered tragic heartbreak when both of her parents died in the same year. Soon she too became very sick witn ulcerative colitis and depression and was eventually hospitalized at Fergus Falls where she died at the age of 38. Her siblings were Anna, Clara, Minnie, Pauline, and John.
