    • Bio: Stratford CourierSeptember 9, 1926OBITUARYMarjorie BerglundMarjorie, the five year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gust Berglund, passed away Wednesday of last week after an illness of about two and a half weeks with typhoid fever. She was born near Stratford August 25, 1921, and passed away September 1, 1926, at the age of 5 years and 7 days.Marjorie was an unusually bright and loving child and her passing away has filled the home with a sadness which is hard to endure. She will be greatly missed both in her home and community and in her Sunday School where she was an active member. All that loving hands could do was done, but when the hour of death has come, human hands are helpless to stay the spark of life. But she has gone on to her Heavenly home where there will be no more suffering for her.She is survived by her grief stricken parents, her only brother having preceded her in death by only one year and two months, and many other relatives and friends are left to mourn her passing.Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at 2:30 from the Lutheran church, with Rev. Gunnar Goransson in charge. Interment was made in the South Marion Cemetery.
