Berge Set for Wednesday. Whalnn, Minn.—(Special to The R«publlcan-Herald)—Funeral services for _Aadne B. _Berge_, 69, prominent Highland farmer who dropped dead at 9:30 a. m. Saturday at the Scanlan-Habberstad State bank at Lanesboro, will be conducted at the Berge home, three miles south of Wttalan, at 1 p. m. Wednesday and at 2 p. m. at the Highland Lutheran church, _sW miles south of here. The Rev. Joseph Knutson of Peterson will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery. A Lanesboro physician said that death was 'almost instantaneous and was caused by a heart attack. Mr. Berge was born at _Btavanger, Norway, January 23, 1868, and came to the United States at the age of 18. He came directly to this community where-he had been a resident for the last 51 years. He married Martha Helland of Highland and to them five sons, Helmer, Orrin, Clarence, Benard and Millard, and one daughter. Clara, were born. His first wife died 28 years ago and on May 11, 1011, _ftff_*. .Xln_^rrn _Mavfl/_tfi _TTnrlna _nnrtrn_. Three daughters and one son were born by the second marriage. Millard, a son by Mr. Berge's first marriage, and Alvlna /son by his second marriage, died 24 years ago. Two daughters by his second marriage died in Infancy and one daughter Audrey survives. Mr. Bergo operated the same farm for 40 yeara. He was active In the civic life of bis community. He served as trustee of the Highland Lutheran church at the time of his death, having held office for ten years, and was treasurer of the school board of the Highland school. Surviving besides his wife and children are four brothers, Thomas, Bjore, Rasmus and Rienart, and one sister, Mrs. Thea Maatland, of Stavanger, Norway;- one brother, Albert of Oolfax, Wls., and one Bister, Mrs. Carl T. Helland _(Gurlna) of Clinton, Wash. .
