- Bio: CLARE – Betty L. Kleveland, 86, of Clare, Ill., died on Thursday, Nov. 22, 2012, at her home. She was the youngest of three children and was born on Nov. 1, 1926 in Clare to Walter and Ethel (Nelson) Wilson. Betty graduated from Sycamore High School in 1944. She married Norman Dale Kleveland on Feb. 19, 1949 in Sycamore, Ill. He preceded her in death on Aug. 12, 1975.
She was a farm wife and homemaker in the Genoa/Kingston and Kirkland areas for many years. Betty retired from Auto Meter in 2004. She enjoyed attending her grandchildren's many activities, ranging from stock car racing, school, music, county fairs, and sporting events. Being outdoors and doing yard work also kept her busy.
She is survived by four children, Bev (Gary) Christensen of Oregon, Ill., Donna Kleveland of Clare, Jim Kleveland of Chicago, and Ken (Jane) Kleveland of Mt. Morris, Ill.; son-in-law, Ron Voyles of Sycamore; six grandchildren, Troy Voyles, Carrie (William) Holden, Kameron, Kelsey and Jacob Kleveland, and Ross Christensen; one great-grandchild, Rylan Voyles; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents; husband; daughter, Pat Voyles in 1995, and her brother, Harold Wilson.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, at Olson Funeral & Cremation Services Ltd., Quiram Kirkland Chapel, 309 S. Fifth St., Kirkland, IL 60146.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, and from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Wednesday, prior to the service. Interment will be at Maple Cemetery in Kirkland.
