- Bio: Bristol - Katherine Rickard, nee Williams, 46, passed away on January 21, 2006, in Bristol, South Dakota, after a long and brave battle with a genetic illness. Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, Bethesda Lutheran Church, Bristol, with Rev. Dan Overbo officiating. Friends and family may sign the register book at Mohs Funeral Home from 1-4 Friday. The family will be present at 7 p.m. Friday to share memories about Katherine. Katherine Renae Williams was born on December 7, 1959, in Day County, South Dakota, to Roger and Adeline (Buittner) Williams. She enjoyed her older sister Karen and was soon joined by her brother, Michael. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Webster. Kathy attended Webster Elementary, Junior High, and High School, and graduated n 1978. Kathy worked throughout High School and college at a variety of establishments, including Bain's CafŽ and Day County Equipment. Kathy attended the University of South Dakota Springfield from 1978 to 1980. She married Mike Bouton in Webster on December 6, 1980 and moved to Mitchell, SD. Kathy gave birth to the light of her life, Hillary Bouton, on May 11, 1986, in Huron, SD. She managed Wayne and Mary's Health Food Store in Mitchell, SD, and eventually started her own business, Katie's Home Health Care, caring for the elderly and home bound. Kathy married Doug Rickard in 1990 and moved to Sioux City, IA before returning to Sun Dial Manor in Bristol, SD, in 2001. She was a member of Bergen Lutheran Church, Bristol, SD. Kathy is survived by her father, Roger Williams, Aberdeen, SD, her daughter, Hillary Bouton, Sioux City, IA, her sister, Karen (Paul) Johnson, Webster, her brother, Michael Williams (Ralf Reuschenbach), Minneapolis, MN, her nieces, Lynnsey Johnson (Chad Sichmeller), Webster, Leslie (JJ) Anderson, Rapid City, and her great-niece, Shae Sichmeller, Webster. Kathy was preceded in death by her mother, Adeline Willams. Mohs Funeral Home of Webster is in charge of the arrangements.
