- Bio: BOULDER CITY, Nev. — Helen (Twitero) Moe, 97, Boulder City, Nev., and formerly of Sisseton, died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2008.
- Funeral service will be Tuesday, Jan. 22, at Grace Community Church in Boulder City.
- Burial will be in the Sisseton Cemetery.
- Boulder City Family Mortuary is in charge of the arrangements.
- Helen was born Aug. 31, 1910, in Roberts County near Sisseton, S.D. She was the daughter of Edward and Carrie Twitero. She grew up on the family homestead and graduated from Sisseton High School in 1928. She received her State Teaching Certificate from the college in Aberdeen, S.D. She taught in Ortley, S.D. one year, at the Enterprise School one year, and two years in Clair City, S.D.
- On Aug. 31, 1934, she was united in marriage to Theodore Kermit Moe. They were married for 44 years before his death.
- She was involved in the Grace Community Church of Boulder City, Nev., Order of Eastern Star in Hot Springs, S.D., Past Matrons Order of Eastern Star, American Legion Auxiliary of Nev. She was a former Girl Scout leader and on the Girl Scout Council for many years, and a former member of the Garden Club.
- She was preceded in death by her husband.
- She is survived by her daughters, Carol Moe of Gillette, Wyo.; and Marilyn Ruth (Moe) Boleda and husband Alberto of Cupertina, Calif.; son, Richard Kermit Moe and wife Barb of Grand Junction, Colo.; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
