- Bio: Caroline Bale, resident of Fergus Falls since 1914, died at Pioneer Memorial Hospital Jan. 20. She had been at the hospital since Nov. 1958, having suffered a stroke in Aug. of that year.
Caroline Bale was born June 4, 1883, near Kindred, N.D., the daughter of Rev. & Mrs. J. E. Bale. In 1896 she moved with her father to Glenwood, where she lived until 1914 when she moved to Fergus Falls, making her home there until her death.
In Fergus Falls she was employed by the Otter Tail Power company from Jan. 1, 1917 until her retirement Mar. 31, 1949. During her retirement she spent some time preparing a history of the Ottertail Power company.
Survivors are her three brothers, Beatus A. Bale, Horace, N.D.; Prof. Christian E. Bale of Fargo & O.Bale of Albian, Michigan; also 7 nephews & nieces. Two brothers preceded her in death.
