Bertha Thompson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T. L. Thompson, was born April 21, 1883, in Boone county, Iowa. In June, 1887, she came with her parents to Wyoming, where she has lived ever since. For the past two years she has been a sufferer of consumption, and all that could be done was done for her relief, but she fell asleep in Jesus January 22, 1905. She leaves a father, mother, five brothers and three sisters to mourn her loss. Death had no terrors for her; she was so willing and anxious to go. Funeral services were held at the hall, conducted by Rev. York. The large crowd testified to the love and respect in which the people held her. Her remains were laid to rest in the Pleasant Ridge cemetery.
