- Bio: Aubrey Raymond Thomas, 95, of Aliquippa, formerly of California, passed away on Tuesday, November 17, 2015.
- Born on January 27, 1920, in Butler, Missouri, a son of the late Claude and Dora (Beard) Thomas, he was retired from U.S. Steel Corp., where he worked as a pilot. He also served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.
- In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rosella Cordella Thomas; a son, Raymond Thomas, and five brothers, Dick, Herbert, Miles, Weldon and Willis Thomas.
- He is survived by two daughters, Carol Meute and her husband Alan "Pat" of Hookstown, and Linda Lake and her husband Michael of Hayward, CA; three grandchildren, Larry Meute of Hookstown, Kama Marburger and her husband Jon of Clinton, and Sean Busa and his wife Rebecca of Hookstown; seven great-grandchildren, Amber, Jonathan, Nathan, Lyric, Charity, Dustin and Zachary, and a sister, Doris Richardson of Texas.
- The family would like to thank the staff of Beaver Elder Care and Vitas Hospice for their kindness and compassionate care for Aubrey.
- Friends will be received on Friday from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m. in the DARROCH MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 2640 Mill St., Aliquippa, www.darrochfuneralhome.com.
