- Bio: STEVEN DOUGLAS TAMLYN

- Steve Tamlyn was born in Watertown, South Dakota to Lucille and Ray Tamlyn. At the age of 3, his family moved to the railroad town of Wishram, Washington. He played in the hills above Wishram and attended school there. He was the local newspaper delivery boy, an altar boy at church and a Cub Scout. He attended Goldendale High School in Goldendale, Washington until the family moved to Vancouver in 1965. He graduated from Hudson's Bay High School and continued his education at Clark College, both in Vancouver, Washington.
- After college, Steve served his country in the United States Army.
- Steve's interests included fishing, bird hunting, pinochle, archery and shooting pool with his buddies. He loved collecting vinyl record albums from the 50's, 60's and 70's. One of his favorite pastimes was playing chess with friends that would drop by his home.
- Our beloved Steve had a gentle heart and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
- Steve is survived by his sister, Jean Beaty (Steve); nephews, Alex (Anndrea) Beaty, Ryan (Katie) Beaty, Aaron Beaty; and grand-nephew, Christopher Beaty.
- He was preceded in death by his father, Ray Tamlyn; his mother, Lucille Tamlyn; and his sister, Marcia Tamlyn.
- A graveside service was at Mother Joseph Catholic Cemetery at 1401 E. 29th Street, Vancouver, Washington on Tuesday, July 28, 2015. A reception followed at Steve Tamlyn's home.
