- Archie Skare funeral will be Wednesday
- The funeral for Archie Skare will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Peace United Church of Christ with the Rev. Carl Schroedel officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens.
- Mr. Skare, 69, of 1324 Second Ave. N.W., died unexpectedly at his home Monday.
- He was born Feb. 8, 1920, in Adams, and grew up in the High Forest and Racine areas. On Feb. 8, 1941, he married Frances Buske in Rochester. They have lived in Rochester since 1942. Mr. Buske was a veteran of World War II and had been chief of engineering at Assisi Heights for 27 years before his retirement. Mrs. Skare had worked in alterations at J.C. Penney's for many years before she retired. Mr. Skare was a member of Peace United Church of Christ.
- Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Lynda (Mrs. Donald) Bartel of Rochester; a son, Ronald of Lancaster, N.Y.; six grandchildren; a sister, Ruth Hawkins of Rochester; and two brothers, Vern of Rochester and Orville of Bountiful, Utah. Two sisters and a brother preceded him in death.
