- Bio: Marilyn Rohloff, 79, of Columbus, Nebraska, died Monday, February 10, 2014, at her home in Columbus.
- A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, February 15, 10:30 A.M. at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church with Father Tim Forgét celebrating the Mass. Interment will be in the All Saints Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 4:00 – 7:00 P.M. at the Gass Haney Funeral Home with a Vigil Service at 7:00 P.M. Visitation will continue on Saturday from 9:30 – 10:15 A.M. at Gass Haney Funeral Home.
- Marilyn was born at home on February 1, 1935, West of Elgin, Nebraska, to Jerome and Blanche (McIntosh) Schumacher. Marilyn enjoyed being the favorite because she was the only grandchild for four years. Marilyn went to school in Elgin, Petersburg, and Newman Grove before attending school in Genoa and graduating from Genoa High School in 1952. Marilyn married Raymond Drozd in 1954. She was a teacher in Nance and Platte County. In 1963, Marilyn went to work at Dale Electronics in 1965 and then at Douglas & Lomason. She later worked and supervised as a Pinkerton Guard at Middle State and Dale Electronics until her retirement. While living in Columbus, Marilyn was united in marriage to Eugene Rohloff in 1978. Marilyn enjoyed family, friends, and doing genealogy. She liked to spend her time at Keating Lakes near Schuyler.
