    • **Donald K. Rowland, 87, Sioux Falls, died Tuesday, May 2, 2017, at the Good Samaritan Village in Sioux Falls.
    • Visitation with family will be 5-7pm, Sunday, May 7, 2017, at Heartland Funeral Home. Funeral Services will begin at 1pm, Monday, May 8, also at Heartland Funeral Home. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in Sioux Falls with Full Military Honors.
      Donald Keith Rowland was born July 31, 1929, to Gerald and Nellie Rowland in Sioux City, IA. He attended and graduated from school at Inwood, IA. He then joined the US Army and upon his Honorable discharge, returned to Sioux Falls. He attended Nettleton College and began working at John Morrell. In July 1952, Don married Mabel Butts and the couple had three children. Don later married Tina Hollingshead and received another seven kids.
      Don was a great family man and loved to do anything with their grandkids and great-grandkids. Weekends at the lake, throwing bean bags, fishing, visiting, and just sitting outside in the fresh air were all things he loved to do. Don also enjoyed all the good food at Rich and Rita’s lake cabin.
